Levothyroxine (T4)
Is a thryoid hormone

**Drug interactions = PPIs, antacids, sevelamer, sucralfate (Al, Mg, Ca, multivitamins)
**beta blockers, amiodarone, PTU, and steroids will decrease the effectiveness of levothyroxine
**estrogen, SSRI, hepatic inducers will decrease thyroid hormones

HIGHLY protein bound > 99%

may increase warfarin efficacy (increase INR)
