What is a mixture?
Each mixture is a combination of pure substances not chemically combined.
What is a hetrogeneous mixture?
The different parts in the mixture are visible
What is a homogeneneous mixture?
All parts in the mixture look the same.
What are solutions?
The different substances that make it up are not individually visisble.
What is suspension?
The part of a substance are held within another in a mix.
What is matter?
Anything that has mass or volume
What is a pure substance?
Only one type of particle.
What is a compound?
Made from two or more elements chemically combined.
What is an element?
Each is made up of only one type of particle that cannot be broken down into a simpler substance by chemical means.
What is a mechanical mixture?
The different substances that make up the mixture are visible.
