Q

What happens in the cell cycle?

A

The cell grows and increases the amount of subcellular structures such as mitochondria- it then duplicates its DNA so there is one copy for each new cell- the chromosomes line up at the centre of the cell and cell fibres pull them apart- membranes form around the chromosomes to become nuclei, the nucleus has now divided- lastly the cytoplasm and cell membrane divide.
