The process of copying a cell.

What are the 4 phases of mitosis?
A
Prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.

Prophase
A
DNA coils up into “chromosome shape”, chromosomes are copied but remain in the X-shape.

Metaphase
A
Chromosomes line up in a single line across the centre of the cell.

Anaphase
A
The pairs of chromatids are separated at the centromere and move to the opposite pole.

Telophase
A
Membrane pinched in at the middle and becomes two nuclei.
