A

June 2nd 2007, Smith was shopping in target For a gift. She spoke with her mother while at the store. When she left she was supposed to go to a party and never showed up. She was reported missing and her vehicle was located approximately 20 miles away missing her ATM and Cell phone.

It took 4 days to get Verizon to give the ping location and once they did her body was located within 45 minutes.

2013 Nevada adopted the Kelsey Smith Act which allows LE to obtain GPS location from service providers under emergency situations.
