Makes copies of source documents and files them (civil)
Accounting Section
Responsible for the maintenance of shred barrels
Building Operations Unit
Notifies duty officer and information service division commander that Tiburon (NICHE) is out of service, and maintains a list of complaint numbers during reporting system outage, and notifies bomb and arson section supervisor
Communications Unit
Responsible for final approval and transfer of all reports into RMS within 4 calendar days
Date Entry Section
Only personnel authorized to field test PCP
Drug Enforcement Unit/Crime Lab
Maintains chronological file of all members who have submitted to chemical (drug) tests, schedules a member’s mandatory medical appointments, receives injury reports, and approves limited duty assignments
Employee Benefits Section
Accepts subpoenas for department members, notifies member’s bureau commander when a member has failed to appear in court, receives copies of Bondsman Notification of Intent to Apprehend forms
Fugitive Apprehension and Arraignment Section
Who should be notified if an undocumented foreign national is stopped with a firearm/narcotics (along with ICE/Homeland Security)
Gang Squad
Maintains closed records related to applicants for purposes of hiring, firing, disciplining, or promoting, reviews fitness for duty requests, responsible for bilingual skills program
Human Resources Division
Primary investigative element on any incident involving an accidental discharge, maintains closed records relate to internal investigation conducted as a result of citizen complaints
IAU (Internal Affairs)
Controls access to media staging are during Op 100’s, and manages content of department social media sites
Media Unit
Reviews all vehicular accident reports from outside agencies, assembles Vehicle Accident Package, reviews police vehicle reports and identifies trends, should be consulted regarding the release of videos, receives copies of asylum reports
Officer of General Counsel
Arranges training and obtainment of password for timekeepers, enters timekeeper information into timekeeping system, processes all inquiries on members considered for promotion/transfer, transfers records to new assignments, responsible for processing sick (S) days, is notified by supervisor upon a member’s death
Personnel Records Section
Reviews written directives for typos and conflicts with existing policies

Maintains Op 100 checklist
Special Operations Division (SOD)
