Take-Home vehicle coordination, approves a member wearing a uniform when representing a non-department organization, determines whether an investigation into a detainee’s missing property is warranted, and determines if personal items will be reimbursed
Bureau Commander
Non-voting advisory director of the police foundation, grants requests to the police foundation, approves take-home vehicle assignments, approves all department social media sites, establishes off-duty rates, grants leave w/o pay between 29 days and one year
Chief of Police
Major or above responsible for strategic decisions during critical incidents
Critical Incident Commander
Responsible for contacting the Bureau Commander when an attempt to locate has been issued for a subordinate, determines when an emergency situation requires a field force, grants leave w/o pay from 1 - 28 days
Division Commander
Responsible for notifying the Media Unit Commander regarding an Amber Alert; then notifies the Communications Unit, responsible for checking on hospital sit-ons, prepares and maintains all source documents for exception entries that occur during special assignment
Field Supervisor
First supervisor on scene, notifies the Communications unit to make appropriate Phase II Mobilization notifications
Incident Commander
Point of contact (POC) for all civil rights violations involving department members
Investigations Bureau Commander
Notifies the initiating officer that a prosecutor has requested lab analysis for narcotics, follows procedures for dismissing municipal charges for possession when lab report is received, obtain court notification docket weekly and distribute to all members
Municipal Court Liaison Officer
Has final authority relative to any reporting questions, ensures information regarding dangerous subject designation gets forwarded to The Real Time Section
Records Unit Commander
Has tasers downloaded monthly
Watch I Desk Sergeant
Ensures money or highly valued property are transported to the Property and Evidence section the following day, notifies the Fleet Operations Unit of any patrol car damaged within the previous 24 hour period, coordinates hospital sit-on schedule, and notifies bomb and arson each morning if a pick up of fireworks is needed
Watch II Desk Sergeant
Who can approve a money deposit during non-duty hours
