Yellow “AK”

A

Stop within 15ft short of the signal or the yellow mark on the 3rd rail protection board.

Slowly proceed up to the signal and bridge the insulated joint with the first set of wheels and come to a complete stop.

While at a complete stop, observe the automatic stop arm goes down and stays down in the clear position.

Then, proceed with RSEC.

Red Circle K

Fixed Miscellaneous “Red Circle K” sign

Stop within 15ft short of the signal or the yellow mark on the 3rd rail protection board, and call RCC to obtain permission.

Slowly proceed up to the signal and come to a complete stop.

While at a complete stop, use the automatic stop arm manual release lever or button to make the stop arm go down and stay down in the clear position. If signal not equipped with a lever or button, the T/O must descend to the roadbed, step on the stop arm, observe the stop arm go down and stays down in the clear position.

Then, proceed with RSEC.

Yellow “No Key By”

Fixed Miscellaneous “Yellow No Key” sign

Stop within 15ft short of the signal or the yellow mark on the 3rd rail protection board, and call RCC to obtain permission to pass signal.

Slowly proceed towards the signal and ensure that the first set of wheels bridge the insulated joint, and come to a complete stop, so the stop arm is still in front of the train.

Secure train before descending to the roadbed, step on the stop arm, and ensure it goes down and stays down in the clear position.

Re-board the train and proceed with RSEC to the next signal.

Such signal, without a number, indicates resume normal speed for all train lengths.
