VetSurg 2017
Equally effective at preventing contamination events in small animal orthopedic procedures.
odds of contamination increased by 1.02 with each minute

Sidhu Vet Surg 2021
The most common cultured bacteria before, at glove change and after surgery?
Streptocococcus spp.
*Glove exchange did not increase bacterial contamination of gloves during the clean soft tissue surgeries tested here.
Anderson Vet Surg 2021
What was associated with increased CFU post scrubbing?
What was associated with increased CFU post scrubbing?
Increased nail length (>2mm)
No association was detected between gel nail polish and reduction of viable bacterial count
Greater reduction in bacterial counts in left-handed than right-handed participants

Effects of Cryotherapy on Temperature Change in Caudal Thigh Muscles of Dogs
A single application of a cold pack to the caudal thigh muscles of dogs for 20 minutes resulted in significant temperature reduction at all tissue depths (p < 0.05). This decrease persisted for ∼60 minutes. The presence of hair did not have a significant effect on muscle cooling (p > 0.05).
Radiographic evidence of OA for CHD
-Femoral periarticular osteophyte formation
-Subchondral sclerosis of CD acetabulum
-Osteophyte on the cranial or caudal acetabular margin
-Joint remodeling from chronic wear
