A
erythema infectiosum
- viraemic phase
- fever
- malaise
- myalgia
- chills
- itching - Immune Complex
- rash
-‘slapped cheeks’ appearance - targets erythroid progenitor celsl
- lysis of cells = anemia
– pts with chronic hemolytic anemia & immunocompromised can cause aplastic anemia; pregnant pts can cause severe anemia in fetus (non-immune hydrops fetalis)
