Intro to parables
Jesus used parables to get his message across because they were simple stories which showed real life situations.
The parable of the lost son
The father gives money to both of his sons. One of them spends all of it and has a really tough life. The son comes back as a worker to get more money. The other son is angry by this for not getting credit. His father explains they should celebrate for his son being lost and finally found.
The good samaritan
One day, a man is mugged and left to die on a road. A priest and a levite walks past and ignores him. A samaritan helps the man and gives him a place to stay. The man then is healed and can carry on his life.
