Differences to AA:
Targeted accepting areas.
Not part of radical group.
No/ little media.
Successes:
1977, milk first gay politician (SF) stood up against proposition 6.
Removed as a illness 1973.
Homosexual bill of rights calling for equality 1968.
Failures:
Milk assassinated November 1979.
Strong religious opposition from Republicans and conservatives.
