A
The government abandoned its support for self-determination
(November 1917 Decree promised self government of nationalities)
National culture and language permitted but independence movements now considered anti-revolutionary

Demands for indépendance from gerogreia were crushed brutally by Stalin although Lenin condemned the force Stalin used.
(Stalin was from Georgia)

USSR was set up.
This federation pf republics was kept under strict control (but not direct control from Moscow as this would have been similar to Tsarist times)
