It was to investigate the intelligence between the children also to amylase which had growth mindsets and who had fixed. The ones who had growth accepted the challenge and didn’t give up. Fixed mindsets accepted failure and didn’t rise to the challenge.
What is the 10,000 hour practice theory?
It states that if you want to achieve excellence you must accumulate around 10,000 hours of practice in this particular skill it displays a growth mindset
What are some negatives about the 10,000 hours practice theory
Heavily criticised as some skills can take much less time to master meaning that their is no need to spend that long on this skill
What is learned helplessness?
This is caused by a fixed mind set and the individual attributing their failure to a lack of talent
