Radicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger
A
- halve the proportion of people whose income is less than $1 a day
- Achieve full and production employment and decent work for all, including women and young people
- halve the proportion of people who suffer from hunger
- extreme poverty rates have been cut by more than half since 1990
- At the global level more than 800 million people are still living in extreme poverty.

Promote gender equality and empower women
A
- eliminate the gender disparity between primary and secondary education
- Globally, about three quarters of working-age men participate in the labour force, compared to half of working-age women.
- Women make up 41 per cent of paid workers outside of agriculture
- The average proportion of women in parliament has nearly doubled over the past 20 years.
- Women experience gaps in terms of poverty, labour market and wages, as well as participation in private and public decision-making.

Reduce child mortality

- reduce two thirds the under five mortality rate

Improve maternal health

- reduce by three quarters the maternal morality ratio
- achieve universal access to reproductive health

- Have halted by 2015 and begun to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS
- achieve universal access to treatment for HIV/AIDS for all those who need it

- integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programs and reverse the loss of environmental resources

- Address the specific needs of less developed countries
- deal comprehensively with developing a countries debt
- provide access to affordable pharmaceutical drugs in developing countries
- make available benefits of new technologies, information and communications

What are the Millenium development goals
A
- developed as an outcome of the United Nations millenium summit in 2000
- the goals represent an agreed agenda for both developed and un developed countries working in partnership to reduce poverty and advance human development
