MDG 1-Postive Progress
A
- By 2015, that number living in extreme poverty had fallen by more than 1 billion
- South East Asia saw an 84% (and China 94%) reduction in extreme poverty.
- Globally 57% reduction extreme poverty
- Target 1a achieved by 2010
- Nearly LEDC workforce earn over $4 a day
- The proportion of underweight has been reduced by 50% worldwide since 1990

MDG 1-Negative Progress
A
- By 2015, 836 million still lived in extreme poverty
- Sub-Saharan Africa did not achieve the target reduction-41% of population still live on extreme poverty
- The indicators used for Target 1a do not account for regional variations in wealth e.g. in China
- Progress also affected by conflict in areas such as Afghanistan, Syria and Somalia resulting in more than 60 million refugees in 2015
- Gender imbalance women more likely to live in poverty (45 out of 75)
- Unemployment rates raised particularly in LEDCs-Economic crisis. High youth dependency
- Unemployment particularly high for youths + women
- Approx 780 million people in LEDCs still suffer from hunger

A
Eliminate gender disparity in primary school and secondary education, preferably by 2005, and in all levels of education no later than 2015

MDG 3-Positive Progress
A
- In 2015 many more girls attended primary school than 1990
- The target of eliminating gender disparity in primary schools has been achieved in approximately two thirds of all developing nations by 2015
- Globally, the proportion of women holding seats in parliament in LEDCs has increased ffrom 12% in 2000 to 21% in 2015.

A
- Overall Gender disparity in secondary education has been eliminated by 36% of all developing countries
- Gender inequality is also represented in female literacy levels. Literacy levels have been increasing everywhere since 2000 but female literacy rates are generally 10% lower than male rates
