SALUTE
➔ The most important, most obvious and most common
form of military courtesy
➔ A time-honored tradition of the profession of arms
practiced in all military organizations of the world.
➔ The manner an individual executes the salute is an
indication of his attitude towards his duties as a
military man and the existing state of morale &
discipline in his unit.

Instances NOT to Salute:
- When both hands are carrying a load.
- When doing fatigue works.
- When inside a divine house.
- Inside a mess hall.
- When in a public place.
- When riding a fast moving vehicle.
- When leading a horse.
- Prisoner of War (POW).
- Indoors, except when reporting.
