A

Why WW1 soldiers followed orders: agents of higher ranking officers.
Can explain the obedience in the holocaust as beyond what is expected autonomous human beings.

Why does the theory lack ecological validity?

A

Largely based on Milgram’s experiments which included electric shocks and the setting was also artificial.

A

People can use it as an excuse for bad behaviour. E.g. A gang member killing someone and saying the gang leader told them too.

A

It ignores alternative explanations.
