A

The Irish were poor so they took the cheapest houses and jobs, scots hated this as they felt the Irish were taking their jobs and housing
The difference between religion
Scots were suspicious of them as the Irish kept themselves to themselves
The Irish had a reputation for criminal activity so again they resented the Irish for this
The scots also felt they were very violent so they stayed away from them
