ENGLAND TO AFRICA. Ships left England with eg copper, cloth, beads, guns & ammunition. Goods would be sold or traded for slaves.
AFRICA TO AMERICA. Slaves. Had been bought from slave traders or from African tribes who had captured people from another tribe.
AMERICA TO ENGLAND.some of money made from selling slaves, used to buy sugar, rum, tobacco or cotton. Then this was sold in Europe.

What was the Slave Trade?
Involuntary or forced migration where Africans were transported to Americans & sold to people who used them as cheap labour.
What were conditions on slave boats like?
Slaves were chained together & were crammed in the ships hold the entire voyage. They were given little to eat or drink & hygiene was poor. Many died from disease on the journey
