Describe the principles of MIG welding
A
Semi automatic process
Consumable bare wire electrode is continuously fed into weld pool
Argon creates a protective shield around the weld giving fluxing action
Feed rate and flow rate are set by the operator so him/her can guide the torch around the weld pool.
Doesn’t produce slag.
