Power Lift
Half squat; hips above knees; feet parallel behind object; UE parallel; trunk in vertical position; lumbar spine in lordosis; slight anterior pelvic tilt
half squat
Straight Leg Lift
Knees slightly flexed/fully extended; LE parallel straddling object; UE parallel; trunk in vertical position; lumbar spine in lordosis
One-Leg Stance Lift
Light objects, face object, body shifted on leg that is forward; non-weight bearing leg counterbalances weight shift
Deep Squat Lift
Hip below knees; feet straddling object; UE parallel; trunk is vertical; lumbar spine in lordosis with anterior pelvic tilt
Half-Kneeling Lift
Kneel on one knee; positioned next too and behind object; move object onto thigh; lumbar spine in lordosis
Traditional Lift
Feet are AP stance; LE in deep squat; low COG; wide BOS; lumbar spine in lordosis
Stoop Lift
Partially flex hips and knees; lumbar spine in lordosis; feet are shoulder width apart; slightly AP stance
Blanch
To become pale
Comatose
Pertaining to or affected with coma; a state of unconsciousness

Reverse T Position
The position of the UE when they are abducted to 90 degrees and externally rotated at the shoulders, with the elbows flexed to 90 degrees
Shear
An applied force that ends to cause an opposite, but parallel, sliding motion of the planes of an object to subject to a shear force
Spasticity
Continuous resistance to stretching by a muscle because of abnormally increased tension
T Position
The position of the UE when they are abducted to 90 degrees and internally rotates at the shoulders with the elbows flexed to 90 degrees
