Stage one of AKI
Onset

Oliguria when you’re an output is decreased and lab values have changed
Stage three of AKI
Diuresis; increases urine output with increase of lab values
Stage four of AKI
Recovery which is up to one year and if recovery does not happen, CKD can occur
What should be included in a plan of care for a patient with AKI?
Seizure precaution, I&Os, and daily weight
Intrarenal AKI is caused by what?
Injury inside the kidney or from nephrotoxic drugs
What ABG diagnosis and lab value occurs with AKI
Metabolic acidosis, with a BUN greater than 20, creatinine greater than 1.2, and urine output less than 400 mL/day
What will a UA show for pre-renal, intrarenal, and post renal?
Prerenal will show up bland, intarenal will show up as muddy brown cast, and post renal will show up as hematuria or crystals.
