If one is higher, generally all are higher and make a higher standard of living
Example: higher literacy rates + standard of living = higher GDP
lower literacy rates + lower standard of living = lower GDP

The arrival of the Europeans affected the people of Latin America in several ways. They brought in new foods, animals, diseases, and ideas. Many natives died, and Europeans took over their land. The Spanish language and Roman Catholic religion were left behind.**
