stage clips hold the slides in place

controls the amount of light that goes through the specimen

lens you look through to view the specimen

coarse - adjustment knob
used to focus to the image , only to be used for low power objective lens
fine - adjustment knob
used to bring the image of the specimen to a sharp focus , after the coarse adjustment knob has been used.
