Yogurt is made when bacteria eat milk sugar, producing lactic acid.

Cheese is made when bacteria is covered with milk and is turned into lactic acid, and then the carbon dioxide respires

Decomposition is when bacteria and fungi break down the dead organisms into simpler particles

Compost is decomposed food scraps, leaves, etc, which gardeners use as soil because it has many benefits to plant life.
