Q

4 Phases of Population Growth Curve

A

1) Lag - normal bacterial growth no reproduction
2) Exponential - binary fission occurs and population increases
3) Stationary - nutrients get depleted and bacteria compete for them. Dying = new born
4) Death - nutrients become decrease and waste products increase, the number of dying cells continues to rise.
