Where is the body to be located and what does it do?
The body to is located right under the eyepiece but above the objectives, and it holds the lenses-ocular an objective-apart from each other.
What is an eyepiece and where is it located?
It is located at the very top of the microscope, and it holds the lens that magnifies the item.
What is a nose piece and where is it located?
It holds the objective lenses and it turns to magnify more, and the nose piece is located right above the objectives, that can move from one objective to the other. It hangs off of the body tube.
What is a low-power objective and where is it located?
A low-power objective is a lens that magnifies about four times to 10 times, and it is located on the nose piece
What is a high-power objective, and where is it located?
A high power objective is the lens that magnifies about 40 times, and it is located on the nose piece also just like the low-power objective except it is next to the low-power objective.
What is course adjustment and where is it located?
The course adjustment moves the body tube and the stage to focus the image. It is located at the top of the microscope off of the body piece.
What is a fine adjustment? Where is it located?
It moves the body tube slightly to adjust the image. it is located on the side near the arm under the course adjustment.
What is an arm?
And arm supports the body tube.
What is the base?
The base supports the microscope.
What is a light source?
A light source projects or reflects light upward through the diaphragm
What is a diaphragm?
Diaphragm controls the amount of light passing through the opening of the stage.
What are the stage clips?
The stage clips hold the slide in place.
What is the stage?
A stage supports the slide being used.
