Mental health: state of being that is relative rather than absolute but marked by the successful performance of mental functions.
Mental illness: a syndrome characterized by clinically significant disturbance in an individual’s cognitions, emotional regulation, or behavior that reflects a dysfunction in the psychological, biological, or developmental processes underlying mental functioning
