Section 2 duties of certain local officials
The head of a fire department wherein fire or explosion has destroyed or damaged property shall investigate the cause and circumstances, and shall begin such investigation. and if appears suspicious, violation of law, or unable to determine the cause shall immediately notify the marshal. all other fires and explosions by which loss is sustained shall within 48 hours excluding sundays and holidays be reported in writing to the marshal
the marshal shall keep a record of all fires reports
Section 2A notice of unauthorized ignition of fire within public or private schools or on school grounds submission of report by principal
The principal of any public or private school from grades 1-12 shall immediately report any incident or fire to the local fire department, and shall submit a written report of the incident to the head of the fire department within 24 hrs on a form furnished by the department of fire services,
the head of the fire department shall report such incident to the marshal in accordance with section 2
