Baby with weak cry,poor suckling and respiratory difficulties
Syx fades within weeks

A
Autosomal recessive Begin in 1st year of life then life long Generalised weakness in arms and legs Delayed motor skills Difficulties in feeding

A
Tensilone test
EMG
Nerve conduction study
Muscle biopsy to confirm the dx

Tx:
A
Aim: prevent respiratory problems and provide adequate nutrition
1-Cholinesterase inhibitors: as Pyridostigmine bromide
2-High dose IV immune globuline.
3-Plasmapheresis
