Thoracolumbar MFR/INR prone
Both hands on Thoracolumbar (middle back); fingers facing outward, thumbs up
Physician at side of table
Prone Regional Thoracic MFR/INR
Hands on both sides of spine. Engage tissue with fingertips.
One hand moves up while the other moves down
Physician at side of table, patient prone
Prone Sacral Base MFR/INR
Place one hand on sacrum, fingertips toward head. Other hand, placed on top, fingertips sideways.
Cervical MFR/INR
Cups subocciput with hands. Add traction to engage tissues.
Patient is supine, physician at head of table.
Hip region MFR/INR
Place one hand facing upward under thigh, place other hand on top, palm side down. make sure to avoid genitalia with thumbs
Patient supine, physician at side of table.
Popliteal Space MFR/INR
Uses finger pads to grasp the back of knee and create the superior/inferior popliteal space

Knee MFR/INR
Place one hand superior to knee, place other hand inferior to the knee
Patient supine, physician at side of table
Ankle MFR/INR
Grasp patient ankle joint with one hand and foot with the other.
Patient supine, physician at side of table
Plantar Fascia MFR/INR
Thumbs crossed on foot.
Provide a separating force to load tissues
Patient supine, physician at the foot of the table.
Glenohumeral & Scapular MFR/INR
Thumb & 5th digit on humerous & digit 2-4 on scapula.
Elbow MFR/INR
One hand above elbow and one hand below elbow
Patient supine, physician at side of table
Wrist MFR/INR
Grasp wrist with one hand and grasp hand with other
Patient seated, physician facing patient
Still’s Wrist MFR/INR
Grasp wrist on both sides while interlocking fingers.
Ask patient to open & close their fist.
Patient seated, physician facing patient
