Conduction

A

Atoms in metal pans and baking trays start to vibrate as heat energy from the hob or oven goes into metal.
The vibrations transfer heat energy to other metal atoms.
The metal gradually heats up and passes the heat energy into the food.

A

Transferring heat through a liquid or air into food. Eg - pan of water heated heat is conducted through metal pan to the water molecules. Water molecules move in circular motion taking heat energy with them passing it on to food.
