Introspection

Observation
Observation literally means ‘looking outside oneself’. It is done by second person.
Experimentation
Experimentation is description and analysis of what will occur under controlled conditions.
Survey method
Gathering data using interviews and questionnaires from a selected sample.
Clinical methods
It is in depth study of a person.
Genetic method
Study of human behavior through the life span.
Testing method
Use of psychometric test. Psychometric tests are used by employers to assess a candidate’s personal traits, as well as their knowledge and skills.
Psychometric
Psychometrics is a field of study concerned with the theory and technique of psychological measurement.
Environmental psychology
Psychological perspective on human made environmental problems and effects of the environment on people.
Pro environmental behavior
Pro-environmental behavior is behavior that a person consciously chooses in order to minimize the negative impact of his/her actions on the environment.
Human exemptionalism paradigm
Human being as the ruler of the physical world and as exempted from the laws of nature.
Social change
Social change refers to any significant alteration over time in behavior pattern, cultural norms and values.

Thematic Apperception Test TAT
A projective technique using black and white pictures; subjects tell a story about each picture.
Cognitive mapping
A cognitive map is a type of mental representation which serves an individual to acquire, code, store, recall, and decode information about the relative locations and attributes of phenomena in their everyday or spatial environment.
Behavior mapping
Behavioral mapping is a research tool used to observe and record behaviors in a particular setting at a particular time.
Ecological psychology
Ecological psychology is the scientific study of perception-action from a non-functionalism approach.
Self-observational techniques
Self-observation is an awareness practice where you turn your attention inward, and nonjudgmentally watch what you think, feel, and do.

Technique of representing the real world by a computer program.

An alteration to produce more desirable appearance.

Berkeley simulator- A machine that simulates an environment for the purpose of training or research.
Computer simulation
It is the process of mathematical modelling, performed on a computer, which is designed to predict the behavior of or the outcome of a real-world or physical system.
Correlational technique
Correlational research measures the relationship between two variables.
Urban sociology
Urban sociology is the sociological study of life and human interaction in metropolitan areas.
Triangulation
Using different types of measures to see if the same relationship is obtained with both reactive and non reactive measures.
Erosion
Wearing away of a substance.
Accretion
Addition or depositing of a substance (e.g., litter and fingerprints)
Archival data
Any sort of recorded information (e.g., government records, cartoons, photographs, newspaper articles, & public health data etc.)
