Full body massage, diluted in carrier oil 2-3% adults & children >12

Adult & child > 12 - 2.5%
Child 2-12 - 1% (also elderly, frail, sensitive skin, face)

LOCAL APPLICATION

A

In a balm, oil, cream, lotion or aloe vera gel for a small area, often for pain relief.
Up to 5% for adults & children >12
But 2.5% if skin damaged or diseased
Face is ALWAYS 1%!

SHAMPOO & CONDITIONERS

A

Headlice - 5% 5 drops of relevant EO in 1 tsp shampoo, apply to damp hair, leave 5-10, then rinse.
Dandruff - 2.5% leave for 5 minutes, then rinse.
Aromatic use only 1-2.5% No need to leave on - wash & rinse normally.

BATHS

A

4-6 drops only use skin safe oils without a buffer!

Buffers can be carrier oil (caution with slippery bath) or a proprietary bath foamer - bulk use make up 1-2.5%

Used for improving mood, relaxation or sleeping aid, prophylactic & antimicrobial for infections

STEAM INHALATION

A

For respiratory infections - sinusitis, colds, chesty coughs etc.

  • Remove lenses or glasses - keep eyes closed while inhaling.
  • 4-8 drops (2-4 for a child or inhaler cup) onto a bowl of just boiled water
  • Cover head w/ towel and inhale for 5-10 minutes till no steam

Repeat as needed up to 8x a day

NASAL STICKS

A

4-8 drops if inserting into nose - depending on EOs used. For sinusitis etc.

10-15 drops if inhaling underneath nose or for psychological inhalation. Or saturate wick w/ 5% blend in carrier oil.

GARGLES & MOUTHWASHES

A

2-4 drops in 0.5 tumbler warm water

  • stir /shake to break up droplets
  • swish around mouth or gargle
  • spit out - DO NOT SWALLOW!
  • repeat stir before each mouthful

Use for oral & throat health, breath freshener or analgesia

COMPRESSES

A

1-4 drops, depending on bowl size, condition & area to cover

  • add to bowl of hot water (boils) or cold/iced water (sprains)
  • stir to mix
  • lay a clean cotton/muslin cloth on surface, remove & squeeze
  • apply to affected area for 5-10 minutes till warmed/cooled
  • repeat as needed
  • cling film or towel to hold compress onto large or awkward area eg ankle

A

8-10 drops in 100ml cooled boiled water
Dissolve EOs in <1tsp vinegar/alcohol first, then add to water.
Store in a glass bottle, not plastic.
Shake before use.

A

True Lavender, Tea tree & Sandalwood can be used neat in an emergency - burns, bites, stings, disinfect wounds, pain relief.
