Q

A warm front is……

A

Retreating

17
Q

What is an occluded front?

A

It is when the cold front overtakes a hotter front and push it up

18
Q

What is a stationary front?

A

The front dosent advance or retreat

19
Q

What happen in a warm front?

A

The cold air is retreating and the warm air move upward over the cold air

20
Q

In a warm front, what happen if the air is moist and stable?

A

Stratus clouds will be created, the ceiling gradually falls and there follow a steady rain falling from nimbostratus clouds

21
Q

In a warm front what happen if the air is moist and unstable?

A

Cumulonimbus or thunderstorm will be created

22
Q

Describe a cold front

A

The cooler air (denser) stay close to the ground and undercuts the warmer air. The warm air rising give place to cumulus clouds wish can creat thunderstorm or even a squall line.

23
Q

How does a stationary front work?

A

The two front are equal of pressure so none of them advance or retreat they slide together till they disappear.

24
Q

How many mass of air do you have in an occlusion?

A

3 mass of air

25
Q

What is the name of the warm air wedge in an occlusion ?

A

Trowal

26
Q

Define frontogenesis

A

A front that increase in intensity

27
Q

Define frontolysis

A

A front that is decreasing in intensity
