Light: is associated with happiness.
face shines, eye shines, face lights up, eyes lights up. Atmosphere lightens, mood lightens.

Dark: is associated with negative feelings.
dark thoughts, dark days, dark times, face darken, eyes darken, expression darken.

Flow= thing progress easily without effort.
Flood, stream = a lot of water
pour, stream: lots of people moving slowly.
trickle=to flow in a little stream.
stream of visitors/traffic=stream suggests continuous movement.
