Q

How bad is the extraction of metals to the environment?

A

The extraction of metals is bad as it causes air pollution, destroys habitats, uses a lot of energy and uses a lot of water.

3
Q

How much better is recycling and why?

A

Recycling metals is a bit better as you have to mine less metal however, energy and water is still used in the process.

low boiling point compared to other metals
expensive

20
Q

Where is Zinc usually used?

A

Zinc is usually used to coat steel (galvanising) and prevents rusting
