e.g ‘-un’ and ‘-able’ as in un+mistake+able, plural: cat+s
Affix: Prefix
An affix that occurs before a root word
e.g sub-standard, pre-cooked, un-believable
Affix: Suffix
An affix that occurs after a root word
e.g cooked-ed, run-ing, quick-ly
Affix: Infix
An affix that occurs in the root word. It is usually only found in a root word
e.g fan-bloody-tastic
