The sum of all the chemical reactions in a cell or in the body

Name five different metabollic processes
A
- Respiration
- Use of glucose and nitrate ions to synthesise proteins
- The formation of lipids
- Break down of excess proteins to form urea for excretion
- The conversion of glucose to starch, glycogen and cellulose

By reacting one molecule of glycerol with three molecules of fatty acids
