To reduce effect of acidosis on cardiac function

Management (SIDiK)
A
a. Sodium Bicarbonate IV. Flush with NSS.
b. Institute saftet precautions as necessary. Keep bed in lowest position, side rails raised.
c. Dialysis for Renal Failure
d. Keep the clocks, calendars, and familiar objects at bedside. Reorient as needed. Allow sig others to remain with them as much as possible.
