Gods were usually identified with natural phenomena including heavenly bodies, storms and lightning. They different from humans only that they were more powerful and mortal

Greek city-states were similar to those of Babylonia and their mathematics, medicine and philosophy owed much to these antecedents
The Hanging Gardens
one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and garden thought to have been located near the royal palace of Babylon. Described in detail by a number of classical authors. They were described as having been watered by an exceptional system of irrigation.
