Triangular Trade

products that are made by machine (ex: tshirts)
Middle Passage
long, horrible journey that enslaved people were forced to take to the Americas, part of Triangular Trade between Africa and the Americas
Why did people move to America?
Europeans began migrating to the Americas during the 1700s because the New World provided social and economic opportunities for people who were struggling in Europe
Migration
moving from one place to another.
Push factors
negative things that make someone leave a place.
Pull factors
positive things that make someone want to move to a new location.
Push factors for migration
tyrannical government, religious intolerance, poor economic status, and limited social mobility
Pull factors for migration
desire for more land and resources, freedom, religious freedom, opportunities to make money, and social mobility.

Each colonial region produced different goods
The New England Colonies
had cold winters and fishing.
The Middle Colonies
produced wheat, corn, and tobacco. They also had mild summers and winters
The Southern Colonies
had the longest growing season. The Southern colonies had the largest enslaved African population because the climate in the South supported agriculture.
