This vibrant Barbera has lively fruit balanced with inviting aromatic spices, seamlessly integrated from inception to finish. Bright blueberry, rich vanilla, allspice, and juniper berry draw you in, while cooling undertones of fresh evergreen pine needles add soft depth to the full bouquet. The palate opens with tart cranberry, pomegranate, and spiced plum, which are layered with earthy notes of cocoa nibs, nutmeg, clove, and gingersnap cookies. The finish is velvety & soft, with refined tannins that elevate this graceful, elegant wine.

Aglianico
Aglianico is a black grape grown in the southern regions of Italy, mostly Basilicata and Campania.
ORIGIN: GREECE, BROUGHT TO SOUTHERN ITALY BY GREEK IMMAGRINTS. USED IN FALERNIAN WINE IN ROMAN TIMES
CHARACTERISTICS:
Aglianico is most closely associated with southern Italy where it is grown in volcanic soil. In
Basilicata it is the region’s only DOCG wine with the highest quality Aglianico coming from the area near Mount Vulture in the province of Portenza. It is also found in Campania where it is
also known as Taurasi. It is the main grape in Aglianico del Taburno and Falerno del Massico. It has also been planted in the sunny climates of Australia, Texas, and California.
