Section 41
DAO may call police to assist DAO assess or transport.
Police may,
Enter - by force if necessary
Detain - person for assessment
Take - person to some other place for assessment
Person must be cautioned, and only held for 6 hours
Section 109
Police may apprehend:
- person wandering at large in public place
- behaves in a manner that gives RGTB that they may be mentally disordered
- public interest to do so
Must be advised of caution/rights
Section 110
Doctor in need of assistance may call police to assist.
Police may:
- enter
- Detain
- take
Must be cautioned, held for up to six hours.

What is a Mental disorder
Abnormal state of mind, characterised by delusions, disorders of mood, perception, to a degree that it poses danger to health or safety of that person or others.
Time you can detain to perform assessment
6hrs
Positional asphyxia
Bodily position results in partial or complete airway obstruction
