Nearly 40% of young Australians aged 16-24 (more than 1 million people) experienced a mental health disorder in the previous year, up from 26 percent in 2007.

In 2022, we surveyed over 18,800 young people to learn about the issues that concern them most. Within the last year, the report revealed that financial concerns and housing instability affected many young people. 10.4% worried about having a safe place to stay and one in 20 (5.9%) young people or their families unable to afford bills or car expenses.- 2022 Youth Survey

research shows that benefits of mindfulness include greater activation in the areas of their brains associated with feeling good, reduced stress and worrying as well as stronger immune systems. benefits of gratitude include increased happiness, stronger connection with family and friends, lower negative emotions and greater resilience/focus/energy.

As humans we need connections, when people have meaningful or fun interactions, their sense of wellbeing and energy both increased. American study shows happiest 10% of the study all had strong social connections.
