Two types of intent
A deliberate act (more than involuntary or accidental).
An intent to achieve a specific result (Aim, object or purpose).

(Recklessness)
Recklessness is established if:
The defendant recognised that there was a real possibility that:
- His actions would bring about the proscribed result, and/or
- The proscribed circumstances existed
Having regard to that risk those actions were unreasonable.
R v Tipple
Recklessness requires that the offender know of, or have a conscious appreciation of the relevant risk. “A deliberate decision to run the risk”.
Wilful Blindness
The prohibited circumstances existed Having regard and deliberately refrains from confirming those suspicions, knowledge may be inferred from this wilful blindness.
