Tx [medical emergency]: Vaccine, lumbar puncture to get CSF sample, antibiotics via IV, treat close contacts

  • Brudinkski’s test: Severe stiffness of hams. Hip flexed to 90, hams cannot straighten leg
  • Kernig’s sign: Pts hips and knees are flexed, then neck is flexed. Stiff neck is CSS
  • Not indiciative
