Mendelian Genetics Flashcards

1
Q

What are the 2 types of Variation? Describe them

Q

What affects recombination rate?

A
  • Recombination depends on distance!
  • The further apart tow genes are on a chromosome, the higher chance they will recombine.
  • If two genes are close on a chromosome, then they are very closely linked

Q

What does polygenic/multigenic mean?
