CUTOFF
2
Q
Airspeed Unreliable
A
- Autopilot (if engaged)……disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged) ……disengage
- F/D Switches (both)…..OFF
- Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust
- Flaps Extended……..10 degrees and 80% N1
- Flaps up……………….4 degrees and 75% N1
3
Q
APU Fire
A
- APU Fire Switch……Confirm…Pull, rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
- APU Switch…….OFF
4
Q
Cabin Altitude Warning OR Rapid Depressurization
A
- Don the oxygen masks
- Establish crew communications
5
Q
Cargo Fire (MAIN)
A
- Don oxygen masks and set regulators 100% as needed
- Don smoke goggles, as needed
- Close the flight deck door. This step prevents smoke or fumes contamination from other compartments.
- Establish crew and cabin communications
6
Q
Emergency Descent
A
- Announce the emergency descent. The pilot flying will advise the supernumeraries, on the PA system of the impending rapid descent. The pilot monitoring will advise ATC and obtain the area altimeter setting.
- Supernumerary signs……..ON
- Without delay, desend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet, whichever is higher
- Engine start switches (both) CONT
- Thrustlevers (both) Reduce thrust to minimum or as needed for anti-ice
- Speedbrake……….Flight Detent
- Set target speed Mmo/Vmo (unless structural integrity is in doubt, then limit speed as much as possible and avoid high maneuvering loads)
7
Q
Engine Fire or sever damage or separation
A
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…….Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected Engine)……..Confirm, close
- Engine Start Lever (Affected Engine)……….Confirm, Cutoff
- Engine fire switch (affected engine)…………Confirm, Pull
- To manually unlock the engine fire switch, press the override and pull
- IF the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated
- Engine Fire switch…..rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
- IF after 30 seconds, the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated:
- Engine fire switch……..Rotate to the other stop and hold for 1 second
8
Q
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
A
- Autothrottle (if engaged)………disengaged
- Thrust lever (affected engine)….confirm….retard until engine indications stay within limits or the thrust lever is closed
9
Q
Engine Overheat
A
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…….disengaged
- Thrust lever (affected engine)…..confirm…….close
- IF the ENG Overheat light stays illuminated:
- [400] Go to the ENGINE FIRE checklist on page 8.6
- [800] Go to the ENGINE FIRE checklist on page 8.8
10
Q
Landing Configuration
A
- Assure correct airplane landing configuration
11
Q
Loss Of Thrust On Both Engines
A
- Engine start switches (both)…….FLT
- Engine start levers (both)……..Cutoff
- WHEN EGT decreases engine start levers (both)…….IDLE detent
- If EGT reaches 930C or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds:
- Engine start lever (affected engine)….confirm….CUTOFF then idle detent
- IF EGT again reaches 930C or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds, repeat as needed
12
Q
Runaway Stabilizer
A
- Control column…………Hold firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged)…………..Disengage
- Do NOT re-engage the autopilot
- Control airplane pitch attitude manually with control column and main electric trim as needed
- Autothrottle (if engaged)……..Disengage
- Do NOT re-engage the auto throttle
- If the runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged (End of checklist)
- If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
- STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both)…….CUTOUT
- IF the runaway continues:
- Stabilizer trim wheel………Grasp and hold
13
Q
Takeoff configuration
A
- Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
14
Q
Uncommanded Roll
A
- Autopilot (if engaged)…..disengage
- Maintain control of the airplane with all available flight controls. If roll is uncontrollable, immediately reduce pitch/angle of attack and increase airspeed.
- Do not attempt to maintain altitude until control is recovered
- Autothrottle (if engaged)……disengage
- Verify thrust is symmetrical
15
Q
Warning Horn OR Warning light (Cabin altitude) OR Takeoff Configuration
A
- IF the intermittent warning horn sounds or the CABIN ALTITUDE light illuminates in flight at an airplane flight altitude above 10,000 feet MSL:
- Don the oxygen masks and set the regulators to 100%
- Establish crew communications
- Go to the CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING or RAPID DEPRESSURIZATION checklist on 2.1
- IF the intermittent warning horn sounds or the TAKEOFF CONFIG light illuminates on the ground when advancing the thrust levers to takeoff thrust:
- Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
